Our wonderful school is facing a bit of a crisis. We have no teacher for the 4th or 5th grades for next year! There is a possibility that the 3rd grade teacher would be able to teach both 3rd and 4th as a combined class, but that still leaves us with no one to teach our 5th-graders.
What to do? I hardly need to explain how important a 5th grade teacher would be to all the missionary families who will have children in the fifth grade next year. Also, those students from international families who have been in our school learning English will have to come up with a "Plan B" as well.
As a school we've been praying, asking God to work a miracle to bring someone forward to teach this class.
Two weeks ago we heard from a former teacher of our school, Miss Sharon Ohlin. She said that she feels that God is leading her back to Hungary and work at our school! You should have seen the face of our school Director when we told him that! What a happy man. This seems the answer to our prayers. And yet....
Sharon lives in New England. It is a particularly difficult place to rasie support. Her church has turned away 6 missionaries in the past 6 months. She was told that the other churches of that denomination in her area aren't allowing new missionaries to even come and present their ministries because there is no support available for anyone new.
But "all things are possible with God."
Will you pray? We desperately need Sharon and she desperately needs financial and prayerful support. If you are willing to commit to just 5 minutes of prayer each day for Sharon until her support is raised, will you write me and let me know? It would be a GREAT encouragement to her to know that people are praying. I will update you on her situation as she updates me.
Sharon is planning on going out with our mission board again, as she had when she was last taught at our school. If you or someone you know is interested in supporting her, please let me know by leaving your email address and I will pass that on to Sharon. Or you can write me at marthajill@gmail.com.
Thank you, thank you. God is great and He loves responding to our prayers!
